Attendance is where a school finds out that its systems disagree with each other: a pupil marked absent who is in the infirmary, or away on leave the office signed last week.
Faculty & Classes gives teachers their class lists and a mark-off, and the school a view of who is missing across the timetable — cross-checked against leave and the medical centre, so an absence that has already been explained is shown as explained.
